Rug fragments with offset symmetrical knotting, 15th century, Ottoman Turkey or Caucasus. The Röhss Museum of Arts and Crafts, Gothenburg. (listed as plate no:15 and plate no: 16 by Carl Johan Lamm, "Carpet Fragments", Uddevalla, Sweden, 1985). Found in Fostat, Egypt

 

Note: Lamm groups these two pieces with the Marby rug on the basis of design details, palette, red outlines, etc., although Marby rug has no offset knotting.
