Design: An ivory ground field pattern with triple spots-and-wavy double stripe pattern, called çintamani, appears frequently in Ottoman art from the sixteenth century on tiles, paintings, book bindings, and particularly on textiles and garments. The triple spots is called şâhî benek and the wavy double stripe pattern is called pelengî (nakş-ı pelenk) in the Ottoman art.

The main border  shows an opposed, alternate repeat of a half-quatrefoil formed by paired arabesques, much as is seen in the field pattern of "Lotto" rug. The arabesques are in different colors. The inner and outer guard stripes show a series of meandering floral forms in different colors.
