Lot Description
A SEWAN KAZAK RUG
SOUTH CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1900

The blood-red field scattered with angular polychrome stellar flowerheads around a large mottled sea-green shield medallion centred by a hooked polychrome lozenge-motif, in a deep blue polychrome angular flowerhead border between reciprocal skittle-pattern stripes, a short frayed kilim strip at either end, overall good pile, natural corrosion in the brown, a few small repairs
