NORTH WEST PERSIA, CIRCA 1880
The shaded medium blue field with scattered motifs and angular flowering
vine around a large serrated golden panel containing a similar brick-red
panel with angular leafy vine and minor scattered motifs enclosing an
indigo medallion with pendants of similar design, in a shaded medium blue
border of stylised palmettes and vine meander between floral meander
stripes, slight loss at one end, minute wear
