The midnight-blue central field displays the bandi rumi(honeycomb net) pattern. Within the leaf diamonds, palmettes in alternating colours are arranged to produce diagonal rows
The main border is the familiar shami(the ancient name for Syria). Two bent and broken rosette-undulant-vine minor borders flank the main border. This border is also very characteristic of the Gollu Chichi or "Zeikhur" carpet. There is another minor border inside whch consits of a row of colourful and stepped lozengs
