General/Historical Information: The name of the carpet is related with the village of the same name, Dagh-Kasaman, which is located 4 km from the region center - Kazak. This type of carpets were being made also in the outskirts of Dagh-kasaman - Qara-papaqly,Tatly, Aghstafa, Qyraq-Kasaman, Ak-koynek, also in Caravansaray (today's Ijevan). "Caravansaray" rugs were primarily woven by the local Turkic population in the historical Shamsaddin Region.

Art Analysis: The central composition of carpet can be seen in Herat Pirabadil and Balyq Karabagh carpets. The corner composition of carpet could be seen in the middle ages architecture of  Azerbaijan. (See, the structure of Caravanserais, also Andarun Building in Shirvan-Shahlar Complex)
