"Transylvanian" rug, Western Turkey, second half 17th century, Ottoman Empire. Published in Jekyll’s Ltd. catalogue in 1931, Jekyll’s Ltd was a renowned London-based dealer and publisher specializing in oriental carpets and rugs throughout the 1920s and 1930s.

 

Currently in John Bryan Collection (Crab Tree Farm Colleciton), Illinois
