"Transylvanian" rug, Western Turkey, 17th century. Formerly Raoul Tolentino collection

It may have originated from the Stefano Bardini collection in Florence, Italy, before moving to the Raoul Tolentino collection. It was sold at the American Art Galleries in New York in 1924, then passed into the Kevorkian collection. The piece was auctioned at the Anderson Art Gallery in New York in 1926, and later sold at the Persian Carpet Galleries in London in 1972. In 1990, it was auctioned at Sotheby’s London, and subsequently owned by Eberhart Herrmann in Munich. Afterward, it was acquired by the Textile Gallery in London and later became part of the Thomas and Gwen Farnham Collection. The piece was sold at Sotheby’s New York in 2015 for $30,000 and went to Nazmiyal Antique Rugs.
