AN OBRUK PRAYER KILIM
CIRCA 1850, CENTRAL ANATOLIA
The pale sage-green field with hooked lozenges and stylised plants, a metal-thread inscription at one end, the stepped raspberry-red mihrab with a lattice of flowerheads, in a pale yellow border of stylised plants between blue floral panelled and skittle-pattern stripes, light spot stain, overall good condition
6 ft. 5 in. x 4 ft. 4 in. (196 cm. x 132 cm.)
