Antique Baluch rug in a camel field

Age: late 19th century

Size
: 77x135cm

Size (ft): 2'6"x4'5"

Structure: wool on wool.

Knots: Gördes (Turkish, symmetrical)

Description: A rare Khorasan tribal rug on a camel field has a design bar of three hexagons, each enclosing a serrated star (Turkmen ashyk motif) and arrows around an eternal knot motif. The rare main border shows geometric, abstract plants on a red ground.

Condition: Good condition, good pile, original finishes all around, small moth holes (can be repaired).
