Antique Kazak rug with Zeyve medallions

Age: 1916

: 133x235cm

Size (ft): 4'4"x7'9"

Structure: wool pile, wool warps (dark brown and ivory yarns twisted - "salt&pepper") and red wool wefts (in some places dark brown)

Knots: Gördes (Turkish, symmetrical)

Description: The indigo blue field is decorated with so called "Lesghi Stars" and stylized small stars. An medium blue "leaf and star" border frames the field. AH 1334 (1916 AD) dated. Good condition, full pile, small repairs.
