Shirvan 'Shiralibek' long rug

Code: SHSHRB01

Age: ~1880-1890

Size
: 165x355cm

Size (ft): 5'5"x11'8"

Structure: wool pile, ivory wool warps and ivory wool wefts.

Knots: Gördes (Turkish, symmetrical)

Condition: Good

Design: Two alternating shapes in staggered rows of large buta (boteh) and tree motif with "roots" in a rust red ground.
The border systems consists of a sky blue and dark brown reciprocal trefoil outer border, cross shaped floral main border, flower rosette and meander guard borders
