Antique Turkmen Karadashli torba with chuval guls, early 19th century

Size (ft): 1'9"x3'6"

Description: Early Karadashli example with good colors: two shades of red: light scarlet red - possibly dyed with cochineal on tin mordant, beautiful arterial dark red as a ground color (madder (Rubia Tinctorum)), dark aqua blue. Plain elem, secondary chemche gul variant and kochanak motif main border - this combination is usually seen in Eagle Gul II torbas.

Condition: Good pile. Vertically cut and sewn together.
