Tschebull in his Hali article, illustrates a somewhat similar example (no 5), which he points out is very similar to a rug dated 1828. The motifs in the border of the Tschebull rug are identical to the beetle-like forms flanking the main medallion in the centre of Ian Bennett's Lori-Pambak rug no 8.
