Antique Bordjalou rug, so called "Sewan Kazak" rug, mid  19th century, Borchaly / Bordjalou Uyezd

Sevan Kazak This Sevan Kazak with a huge, green-ground shield medallion on a red field and a wide, white-ground crab border appeals because of the impact of its composition and the first rate quality of its colours. A comparable Kazak was sold by Sotheby's, London, in 2005. – Cut and newly overcast sides, both ends somewhat reduced. Several creases, heavily corroded brown.
