An antique Sewan Kazak rug, South Caucasus
The shaded brick-red field with stylised hooked trees and checkered lozenges around pistachio-green and ivory large shield medallion containing hooked bars enclosing radiating octagonal centrepiece, in sandy-yellow border of stylised polychrome open rosettes and serrated leaves between reciprocal skittle-pattern and barber-pole stripes, scattered old repairs and areas of repiling (well blend)
