Daghestan Prayer Rug A white-ground prayer rug with a diamond lattice of serrated leaves enclosing flowering plants. The mihrab, woven in a strikingly wide shape and with a flat upper curve, is placed at the very top of the field. The red-ground main border shows birds drawn as abstract “S” shaped chevrons. – Replaced sides, both ends somewhat reduced, uniformly low pile.
