Antique Kazak rug with Moghan (Memling) Guls, 19th century, Azerbaijan. published Ian Bennett's Oriental Rugs, Volume I

The checkerboard diamond poles are particularly beautiful; the use of half medallions is rarely encountered and this is one of the few Kazak rugs of this type in which the weaver wished to show the field design quite unequivocally as a section of an endless repeat. The green-red diamond reciprocal border is another noteworthy feature. 193 x 143 cm.
