Lot Notes
35 - This Kazak is a later example of a rare group of blue ground Kazaks. Coincidentally two rugs from this group were sold in the same week in April 1993. The larger of the two was sold in these Rooms, April 29, 1993, lot 357 and a smaller rug with a very similar design to the present Kazak was sold at Sotheby's London, April 28, 1993. For further examples please see lot 37 in this sale.
