A KARATCHOPF RUG
SOUTH CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1870
The indigo field scattered with geometric hooked motifs and long rectangular part rust-red and indigo panels around a central indented indigo rectangular panel containing a central column of alternating tan and ivory square panels containing stellar flowerheads and geometric motifs, all in a shaded charcoal-brown hooked polychrome motif border between reciprocal skittle-pattern and narrow mill-pattern minor stripes
