Antique Kazak rug, Azerbaijan.

The powerful Kazak rugs woven in their original village environment are sought after internationally, provided they have exclusively natural colours and "freestyle" drawing. Unlike any other rugs, they display an abstract, "geometric" style with bold, contrasting and vibrant colours, representing a great, and lost, folk art tradition. This is a striking example of the Fachralou group, with good colours and in good condition.
