EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1880
The indigo field with a dense design of polychrome stylised flowerheads around a linked lozenge lattice filled with angular flowering vine, in an ivory polychrome crab-rossette border between charcoal-black carnation spray stripes and narrow barber-pole minor stripes, localised areas of wear, natural corrosion in the brown and black, selvages fraying, one end missing a few knots
