A CHICHI RUG
EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1890
The shaded blue field with rows of three polychrome hooked lozenges flanked by paired leaves and surrounded by minor floral motifs, in a charcoal-grey rosette and baton border between brick-red polychrome flowerhead, light blue lozenge, reciprocal skittle-pattern and minor barber-pole stripes, slight loss and repairs at one end, minimal repaired moth damage
