A PEREPEDIL PRAYER RUG, EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1870
The ivory field scattered with a variety of animals and flowerheads around alternating ram's horn and floral octagon motifs flanked by hooked dart-motifs, an angled keel-arch above, the spandrels with hooked lozenges and a variety of animals, in a medium blue crab-rosette border between banded panel, dark rosette and minor stripes, localised areas of wear
