A SEYCHOUR RUG
East Caucasus, circa 1880
The ivory field with rows of angular flowerheads, palmettes and flowering vine with occasional various small motifs and animals, in a dark brown border of stylised polychrome rosettes with an outer running dog stripe, braided ends, very slight colour-run in the field, naturally corroded black
