Sumakh This large sumakh, with three massive star-shaped medallions on a red ground and a “crab” border, was made in one of the many workshops of the Baku region, where pieces of such comparatively coarse weave and correspondingly angular drawing were produced for export as of ca. 1870. – Various restored areas, renewed ends.
