Marasali Prayer Rug A blue-ground prayer rug from the Shirvan area showing a Marasali design of closely spaced multi-coloured botehs of highly diverse interior drawing as well as a steep mihrab. A wide border area of five stripes; the abstract birds that are typical of the provenance are seen in the white-ground stripe. – Original finishes all around, slight signs of wear in the pile.
