Antique Tabriz rug, Azerbaijan, NW Iran

late 19th century
8ft 2in X 11ft 8in
In the tradition of the most desirable decorative carpets, this small antique roomsize offers an exceptionally refined, overscale motifs in a very generously spaced allover pattern. It also features an entirely unique, infinitely inviting color palette, highlighted by its golden camel field, dusty rose border and accents of sage green, teal and burgundy. Its condition is extremely good at over one hundred years of age.
