Antique Tabriz Hadji Jalili rug, Azerbaijan, NW Iran, 12'5" x 19'

While top-tier antique carpets are increasingly difficult to find, truly artful pieces in the oversize format are all but unobtainable. Thus, we are elated to be able to offer this magnificent, extraordinarily well-preserved piece created by the renowned master designer Hadji Jallili of Tabriz. A majestic, perfectly balanced series of concentric medallions radiates outward, filling its great expanse with the subtly rendered design. Indicative of the finest Hadji Jallilis, it also boasts delicately nuanced color, graceful sensibility of line and incredibly fine knotting.
